Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj is presenting SPL2024; we successfully registered a team in the tournament.

Step 1 was to build a squad, buying players from the auction. With all teams having 15,000,000 pts

before the auction, all teams had the opportunity to sign an icon player- where we successfully signed the current Kenyan cricket team captain Sachin Bhudia, costing 2,000,000 pts

Going into the Auction, we had 13,000,000 pts

Stepping into the auction room, after many discussions with Captain Sachin Bhudia and Coach Josphat Irungu, the Think tank was confident and knew what was required from the player’s auction.

Squad

Sachin Bhudia- 2,000,000pts

pre-buying Sachin Bhudia brought in leadership expertise, and he was announced the Captain of the team.

Pushkar Sharma- 1,450,000 pts

the first player to come under the hammer was Pushkar Sharma, top on our list; getting a player of that caliber at the cost of 1,450,000 pts was a steal. His inclusion in the squad sorted into one batting opening sport, and not forgetting his bowling with the new ball was an added advantage.

Gerard Mwendwa- 1,150,000 pts

Getting Gerard, Kenya’s national fast bowler, keeping in mind we were only allowed to play two non-community players in the 11

Hiren Kerai- 750,000 pts

Hiren Kerai, fast bowling, hard-hitting all-rounder, bought at 750,000 pts, strengthening our middle order.

Dilkush Vekaria- 50,000 pts

Dilkush bought at the base price of 50,000pts, filling in the wicket-keeper slot and middle-order batting.

Harshin Varsani- 800,000 pts

Harshin bought at the cost of 800,000 pts to fill in the spinner slot and also brings in his finishing capability to the side.

Darsh Panchani- 3,050,143 pts

Buying Darsh at a whooping 3,050,143 pts clearly states that the think tank had him on the wish list. Darsh Panchani, the under-19 sensation who scored 210 runs against Malawi, perfectly fits the batting opening spot, opening with Pushkar Sharma.

Ghanshyam Siyani- 50,000 pts

Getting a spinning all-rounder at 50,000 pts, slots in as a spinner, as well strengthens our batting middle order.

Raj Bhudia- 2,070,000 pts

Raj Bhudia being on the wish list, Getting him at 2,070,000 pts brings experience to the side, and being a fast bowler also allows us to be flexible with the rule of playing only 2 non-community players, not forgetting his hitting capabilities.

Ajinkya Belose- 200,000 pts

Getting Ajinkya at 200,000 pts was a steal, as he brings his batting experience and his energetic nature, which lightens up the dressing room.

Nitish Hirani- 1,598,003 pts

Another spinner has been added to the squad, keeping in mind the SCLPS pitch. The Addition of Nitish strengthens our spinning attack and the batting middle order.

Dhrinesh Kerai- 475,000 pts

Another spinning all-rounder was added to the squad. At the cost of 475,000 pts

Kishan Pindoria- 350,000 pts

Kishan is coming into the side, backing up the spinners.

Jayant Varsani- 50,000 pts

Jayant is coming into the squad as a backup wicket-keeper, not forgetting his hitting capabilities.

Dipak Rabadiya- 325,000 pts

the final buy for purple cap, Dipak Rabadiya fast bowling all-rounder.

we were pretty much satisfied with how the squad was looking,

batting was looking really well-balanced; bowling was looking balanced as well with a variety of spinners and fast bowlers.
